Resume :

The course of Consumer Behavior discusses the matter of the customs, needs, the desire of the consumer in using, spending, and searching for products or services obtained. Consumers have many meanings such as buyers, transactions, lifestyle, money, and more. Consumers are also the decision makers who will determine the details of the products or services to be presented. Therefore, understanding consumer behavior is very important for the success of self as a provider of needs and as a consumer.

According to Sumarwan (2011), consumer decision process in buying and consuming goods and services consists of several stages, namely the introduction of needs, information search, alternative evaluation, purchasing, and customer satisfaction. Consumer decision process is influenced by three main factors namely marketing strategy, individual differences, and environmental factors. Understanding the consumer can be done by knowing how the consumer in getting, how to consume, and how to eliminate the remaining consumption or bagaian not consumed in the sense of goods, services, or experience.

Each consumer has their own characteristics and characteristics. Consumers have an important role in buying and selling activities and marketing, because every provider needs services and products always prioritize and adapt it to the needs of consumers. Consumer behavior must be understood by producers so that producers can sell products or services so get maximum results. In addition to producers, consumer behavior must also be understood by ourselves, because directly or indirectly, we are also a consumer. Understanding consumer behavior for consumers can improve the thoroughness and gain benefits of tips and tricks to become a good consumer.

There are several questions related to consumer behavior in the face of a product such as food. The first question is how do consumers get their food? Consumers get food by buying, asking, or producing it themselves. The second question is how do consumers consume their food? Consumers can consume their food by being bitten, licked, and swallowed. The last question is how do consumers eliminate the rest of their food? Consumers eleminate their food scraps by being thrown away, stored, supplied, or reprocessed.
